Brief of EFI
EFI is a digital carburetor system, replacing the carburetor manual system that is widely used today.
EFI has begun to be applied to a motorcycle engine slowly but surely.
At the EFI ECU are in charge of regulating the conditions are always ideal AFR is reached, although conditions vary motorcycles.
With the achievement of the ideal AFR, then burning the resulting machine can be perfect. Resulting in toxic levels of exhaust gas will be reduced or low pollution levels.
EFI power generated by the engine was still optimum at all times.
EFI MAIN COMPONENTS
ECU (Electrical Control Unit)
Data processing center conditions of use
machine, to enter / input from sensors
process sensors then give
output / output for the current and the amount of
injection, when the ignition.
Fuel Pump
Generates ready-pressure fuel injected.
Pressure Regulator
Set the fuel pressure condition always remains (55 ~ 60psi).
Temperature Sensor
Provide input to the ECU engine temperature condition, the condition of the engine
cold requires more fuel.
Inlet Air Temperature Sensor
Provide input to the ECU temperature conditions that will
get into the engine, cold air is more dense O2, requires
More fuel.
Inlet Air Pressure Sensor
Provide input to the ECU that the air pressure conditions will
get into the engine, compressed air (the type motorcycles
The upstream inlet is between the two front lights) O2
denser, requires more fuel.
Atmospheric Pressure Sensors provide input to the ECU
ambient air pressure conditions around motorcycles, the
lowlands (coastal) O2 denser, requires fuel
much more.
Crankshaft Sensor
Provide input to the ECU the position and speed of rotation
engine, high torque that requires open INJECTOR
faster.
Camshaft Sensor
Provide input to the ECU engine positioning step, only
suction steps that require open INJECTOR.
Throttle Sensor
Provide input to the ECU position and magnitude of the flow openings
air, large openings that require open INJECTOR
longer.
Fuel Injector
Gate end of the fuel pressure, the main function
spraying fuel into the engine, opening and
shut down on orders from the ECU.
Speed Sensor
Provide input to the ECU motorcycle speed conditions,
gas plays in red light than the speed
90km/jam, open INJECTOR different.
Vehicle Down Sensor
Provide input to the ECU motorcycles conditions, if the motor
Fell with the living conditions of the engine ECU
FUEL PUMP stop working, IGNITION, INJECTOR,
for security and safety.

WORKING PRINCIPLE EFI
Total flow / air mass into the cylinder through the intake manifold is measured by the air flow sensor (air flow sensor), then the fuel is mixed with air by the fuel injectors.
Fuel injector in the intake manifold located behind the intake valve. Injector is a solenoid operated electrically by the ECU. Then the other data about the condition of the machine will inform the ECU (Electronic Control Unit).
ECU uses a series of sensors to determine the oxygen intake, outtake oxygen, manifold pressure, speed, voltage, temperature and throttle position for an accurate calculation of the amount of fuel required.
ECU will give a signal to the injector by varying the injector ground circuit on and off alternately.
ECU will set the length of the injector opening, so the gas that enters the inlet pipe (intake manifold) through the injector has a measurable amount. Gas and air will mix in the intake manifold and into the cylinders at the time revenue measures. Ideal mixture prepared burned.
Ideally for every 14.7 grams 1 gram intake air is injected petrol and adapted to the conditions of the engine and heat the surrounding air and the weight of the vehicle. Gasoline with a certain pressure (2-4 times the pressure in the carburetor system) has been built by an electric petrol pump in the system and ready to be injected through electronic injectors.
